Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 11 August 2026

Premium Templates makes money in two ways: we sell our own Notion and Google Sheets templates, and we earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up for tools we recommend. This page explains the second one in full.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking code attached. If you click one and then buy or subscribe, the company pays us a referral fee. You pay exactly the same price — the commission comes out of the company's marketing budget, not out of your pocket, and it never unlocks a worse deal for you.

How to spot them on this site

We mark them in three ways, and you only need one of them to notice:

  • Any page carrying an affiliate link has a disclosure note near the top, before the first link.
  • Recommendation boxes carry the line "Affiliate link — we may earn a commission at no cost to you."
  • Every affiliate link on the site points at a getpremiumtemplates.com/recommends/… address and is tagged rel="sponsored" in the page source, which is the standard signal search engines look for.

Who we have relationships with

We may earn commissions from tools including Notion, ClickUp, Tiller, Canva, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy and Etsy. This list changes as programmes open and close; the live set is always whatever is marked on the page you are reading.

What this does not change

This is the part that matters. Our recommendations are based on whether a tool actually solves the problem the article is about. Specifically:

  • We do not accept payment for a placement, a ranking position, or a favourable review.
  • A commission does not move a tool up a list. Where our own free template is the best answer, we say so and link it first — including on pages where an affiliate tool sits further down.
  • We recommend free tools, competitors' free templates, and "you do not need to buy anything for this" wherever that is the honest answer.
  • If we stop rating a tool, we remove it, regardless of what it was paying.

Our own templates

Links to templates on this site are not affiliate links — those are our own products. When a page recommends one of ours alongside a third-party tool, we say plainly which is which.

Tracking and your data

When you click an affiliate link we record the date, which link it was, and which page you clicked from, so we know which articles are useful. IP addresses are hashed rather than stored. The company on the other end of the link sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. See our privacy policy for the full picture.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you think a recommendation on this site is not honest, tell us: support@getpremiumtemplates.com or the contact form. We would rather fix it.
